Jackshaw shows that rare potential of a comic who understands the possibilities
of translating reality into solid material and laughs.

His slanted view of the world
has audiences coming back again and again I guarantee you that John Jackshaw
will move your audience in ways that will remind you of days gone by when
the comedian came out and simply ‘had his way’ with the room.

John was a trooper! After getting stuck in traffic, he came in and did a great job and made the crowd laugh. It was a good clean show.

Mr. John Jackshaw,
My Unit has asked me to reiterate how much they enjoyed your performance on 1 October 2009 for the Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services, “He was great and captured the attention of the crowd. My staff appreciated him. He did a great job.”
Area Manager for Houston Central Field Office Arnold Gamez.
“I would schedule him for an event in the future. I think he is courageous.”
Catherine Guillory
The feedback from our counselors was overwhelming with positive laughter. To keep us entertained for an hour was truly a professional act. Your insight in everyday living and being able to laugh about our wonderful life made us shake our heads with agreement. We will give your website to our other DARS regions with the “2-thumbs Up” for great entertainment.

Press acknowledgement:
John,
I want to thank you for the great comedy act you presented to my SBB graduation class. Everyone I have talked to said they enjoyed the comedy. They felt your comedy was just right for a mixed audience. I liked that you included the graduates and other people in your presentation.
Thanks again for making this function enjoyable and memorable.

We were fortunate that John was available to perform for our annual office Christmas Party at Gaido's in Galveston. He was perfect for our ophthalmology clinic of about 30 people, primarily female. He balances his topical humor with just the right amount of edgy and narrative humor to make for a perfect show. He even brings in some of his blind jokes and experiences which was perfect for our group. Highly recommended for a change of pace from the usual comedian. . Thanks for coming, Allan H. Fradkin, MD, The Eye Clinic of Texas.
John,
It was a pleasure meeting you. We all enjoyed your show very much, and I appreciate your magnificent effort and hard work at a difficult profession.

John was very accommodating to our needs. His show was excellent and our attendees were laughing all evening. His show was professionally done and all attendees said they would like to hear him perform again. He is a comedian of the highest caliber and I would highly recommend him to perform for other groups.

Surprise at Monday night's open mic/showcase show at Hollywood's Comedy Store…. An outrageously funny (and did I say blind) comedian was caught in traffic, and didn't arrive at the Comedy Store comedy club in time to make the cut for performers, but he stayed for the show, and ended up in a friendly banter with host Jeff Duran.
The job of the MC/HOST is to clean up after each comic, barbing the comic and the audience. Comedian, John Jackshaw (THAT BLIND GUY, from Houston), in the audience, was questioned by Duran for not being particularly attentive to the stage. When it was pointed out that John was blind, that began a friendly flurry of comments between John and Jeff, culminating in the audience demanding that John take the stage. Jeff graciously welcomed John Jackshaw to the stage.
Then John took over, delivering a succession of successful punch lines.
John Jackshaw returned to Sunset BLVD Tuesday night, in a scheduled showcase at The Laugh Factory, where he took the audience on a comedy coaster ride, with topics from ”Stutterers’ Anonymous” to the news of the day, to the freezing of Walt Disney.
This was John Jackshaw’s second Laugh Factory showcase and forth successful trip to Hollywood, and certainly not the last.
